AnomX Edge Emergency Response System

ESP32 and BLE emergency response system with edge event detection, interrupt-driven sensing, and low-latency alert routing.

AnomX Edge Emergency Response System

Project Details

AnomX is a decentralized emergency detection system designed to detect high-impact events and automatically dispatch alerts using edge computing and BLE. It bypasses the latency, physical bulk, and extreme power consumption of traditional GSM/GPS modules using a low-power ESP32 DEVKIT V1 and an I2C accelerometer.

The Challenge

Detect critical events fast enough to matter while keeping the pipeline lightweight for embedded hardware. The peak acceleration of an impact must not be missed by a busy CPU queue.

Implementation & Solution

Implemented a TinyML pipeline using Fast Fourier Transforms (FFT) for signal analysis and planned TensorFlow Lite integration. Utilized hardware interrupts and custom BLE GATT-based communication for zero-polling low latency.

Key Outcome & Metrics

Achieved ultra low-latency emergency detection (<50ms) avoiding continuous routing and significantly reducing dependency on cloud systems.
